But these fleshtubers have a pretty dang good viewership and a sizeable community. Like, as if their faces nor their names would actually be known compared to the avatar and the name of the character they are playing as. Well it’s more lucrative, true, but is it really worth it compared to the pl content they have been created for the longest time now?

In case of Ren/Jordan Sweeto even if he had a community, generally speaking he was still considered a niche singer. Maybe he wants to try and further his music career like this, kind of like Calli did?
In case of Kyo/Quinn no idea but maybe he was tired of his omegle niche and didn’t want to become just another fleshtuber streamer and decided to give vtubing a go instead.
I’d wager from my own perspective that it’s simply the “closest” way to get that experience of being a “celebrity” than just a mere content creator where you post stuff and just hope for people to engage with your content. The thing with having a celebrity persona attached to yourself, people are always looking forward to you and talking about you, and you can’t simply get that experience elsewhere as a typical Youtuber/content creator. It’s very, very, unlikely that any average person around here is going to sign up and join a Hollywood movie cast or a popular idol group like BTS or AKB48, but Vtubing definitely made that feeling of reaching a true celebrity status feels more approachable, that happens to fill in the venn diagram of Youtubers/online content creators and animanga fans. This is just how I view it, though. I guess to some people, giving up/hiding your past identity and efforts is worth the price of that celebrity recognition

As someone who is familiar with the corpo world and business – I also think this might be a way for Anycolor to reach non-vtubing western audiences. Prior to Iluna, all of EN still were very deep into appealing to an audience of weebs and otakus who are out west – bringing in talent who has interests beyond what everyone else already provides may be a test of the waters on their end.
This would make sense if the new hires didn’t resort to the typical Vtuber thing of bottom jokes and stuff. That has already been shown to turn off non vtuber fans who see them around. I can see Ren having cross appeal but not sure about the others.
i think it might be new, exciting and lucrative for them. All three things are not the be underestimated.

i think anykara decided to broaden their livers more, not just sticking to the same vtuber format that most 2views have (been following the corpo way) so to diversify content and not make niji stale they decided to get different streamers, even fleshtubers. that’s my take at least.

It’s more better now that I can see them moving since it doesn’t look that flat anymore, but still deffo needs some changes including Axel and Regi.
Magni’s wide set eyes are fine man, some people have their eyes like that and it’s an interesting design choice, there’s plenty of samefaced vtubers out there. And yeah Aster’s chin is big but I think he is supposed to pay homage to the old timey yaoi vampires. I’ve been a fan of Jordan Sweeto for a long time and honestly I’m f***ing pissed that he’s in nijisanji as Ren Zotto. The main reason: it feels like an act of desperation or a cop out because his videos weren’t getting good views unless they had his girlfriend (WolfyChu) in it. I could rant on and on about what he could have and should have done but I continue.
He claims to be in it for the music but actions not showing it.
His last big hit was his original song “Shooting Stars” (April 2019) with >2M and didn’t release his next original song until over 2 years later (July 2021) and it flopped in comparison (78k) because well newsflash, people aren’t just sitting and waiting for your big hit and the youtube algorithm wasn’t going to pick it up for mainly one reason. His inbetween music video content mainly consisted of furry or horny memes or animation work which either was made specifically for him or not even his at all…? (I didn’t watch-it) Of course not all of the audience for music isn’t gonna click on that. Its obvious what worked on his channel and what did not. If the first furry video flopped, don’t make it. Why not move that onto a second channel or something smh? If music takes time then show us what you’re working on, give us previews, do live performances (outside Australia) He didn’t really put in the effort for the past 3 years into his music/main channel, now he’s jumping ship to get more numbers. Classic example of content creators stuff getting stale, and them not getting with the times. Maybe with more consistent numbers and a corporation he can leech off of, he’ll finally put in the effort, but given the track record, I don’t have high hopes.

yeah they all hit different for sure, i think with other waves we at least had a hot minute before the information started leaking en-masse, so we had the chance to get to know the liver as an entertainer first. with this wave we knew s**t basically day one, and none of them are… what we would typically consider vtuber material, so it was all really odd and off-key. even i fell into it, i was sure i was gonna hate kyo because of his age and being a clickbait fleshtuber, but he’s genuinely the standout of his get to me (which is sad in a way because i find his design the most mid.) even though i’m enjoying seeing each of them, this wave definitely doesn’t feel the same as other debuts.
it feels like nijisanji is changing in some way i can’t quite define, and i’m not sure how i feel about it yet. but no matter what, we still have the rest of nijisanji, and i hope that doesn’t change anytime soon.

anycolor went public this year, so they have to show their investors that they are trying to maximise profit. What best way to show that then chosing the applicants with the most subs? If you accept a applicant with potential but few subscribers and they flop, then anycolor won’t be able to hide behind their sub count when the investors come and demand answers.

I don’t really mind as long as people don’t abuse or use their information to harass them and if the content creator does not mind people knowing as long as they don’t mention it on their streams. Usually in my experience of Vtubers if they want a completely fresh start they will either graduate from their past model (for former indie V-tubers) for non – v-tuber they will most likely dis appear or delete their past channel and Twitter or lock their Twitter account for an unknown amount of time. This is based on my experience.

The problem is that he used to be good friends with Xandu and Lollia, but completely stopped interacting with Xandu after they posted their Twitlongers calling each other out (not linking them since they both want to move on from it, go to Ike’s page or search for it on your own), so it’s safe to assume he silently took Lollia’s side and cut Xandu off.
You can see this for yourself if you search on Twitter “@_Kuraiinu @DatXandu” and “@_Kuraiinu @lolliaofficial,” he still talks to Lollia and commented in support for her after the callouts, but his last tweets to Xandu were in 2019.
