Nah anon I mainly watch the girls and the point isn’t that I want to force relationships on her. It’s that she’s only focusing relationship on others that benefits her, which excludes the girls. Do you even know what a leech is. You can’t leech from someone who is less successful than you. Mika gets called a leech because she was constantly collabing with EN and has completely dropped ID before the mysmi thing blew up. Shoto got called a leech because he’s constantly orbiting around Vox and Mysta. The only one who unfairly got called a leech is Reimu, she was sadly the target of schizo kindreds, but she is not a leech. Nina, Mika and Shoto got massive incline in subs but the only one who really benefit from it was Shoto, since he can actually hold an audience compared to Mika or Nina.
Shoto was already having an incline before Luxiem debuted (due to tiktok). But his interactions with Luxiem boosted him higher. I was a follower of Shoto before Luxiem, and I remember people saying they came from tiktok when they visited his streams back in November to Early December.
That stuff about Shoto is absolute bulls**t. He was already blowing up from other places and for a lot of people he was the first male vtuber they even knew about before Luxiem ever entered the scene.
Let me give you a little example. You work in a coorperation, you get your own team, you get your own project for your team. Then you feel not that close to your own team but in the other team you are closer. Then you don’t like to work with your own team and your own project and prefer to do the other team project.

I’m honestly laughing at anyone who thinks Nina is not doing this huge publicity stunt for her own benefit, she’s not an i**** and knows exactly that most of her recent subs come from the fans of the boys, which is leeching. You can deny the fact all you want but it got proven with the boys valo collab that happened at the same time as Nina’s stream. She even gave small details that were great fanarts materials. As a Luxiem fans, I was grateful. As a Nina casual watcher, I find her extremely fun and I love it when people being so excited about the things they love. I listened to her telling stories from start to finish. I think a lot of people are used to corpos partners being gay so having someone who’s openly more interested in mixed collab suddenly, it’s “leeching”. Like I just can’t wrap my head around it. Surely you remember how excited she was even before Luxiem debuted and promised good number? They’re her direct kouhais, they’re funny, they bounce off her so well especially consider how the rest of the girls are pretty introverted/being high-level close-off otaku. Nina is more normie and is an extrovert so from time to time she needs someone to have good vibe and bounce off her like that. Even way back when she first debuted, she openly said that she’s very interested in male chuubas.
I think people forget a fundamental part about Nijisanji – that they thrive off networking and there’s no need to “fake” it. Debuting in the same wave/time period gives chuubas early exposure with their wave-mates and thus is better to build a relationship from there, but that’s not always the case. Take Eden-gumi for example – they’re vastly different that they don’t always cross way once debuted. Lauren is now more close to the FPS people, Oliver is busy with internation connection, Leos is just being his own thing, etc… Or look at VALZ. They barely collab anymore. Yes, hate like that is not uncommon. A while back, a lot of people trashed on Kaida Haru for being closer to his wave-mates but instead being super close to ROF-MAO and especially Fuwa. It’s kinda insane how people think they have the right to control one’s emotions and connections. Yes chuubas should play into their roles and try to put their wave-mates as priority, but other than obligated events + making sure to diversify their collab partners (not just sticking to one or two people) I’d rather them doing what they prefer tbh.

Calling Nina a leech because of the off collabs doesn’t really make sense. For the first one, she had been planning to visit a best friend in London. Then she asked Mysta if he wanted to hang out while she was in the country, and it all snowballed into a 3/5 of Luxiem + Nina collab. When she got back, she promised Luca she’d go to Australia to accompany him to the next off collab since he’s scared of flying alone. She’s doing exactly what she promised to do. If you’re gonna call her a leech, use a better reason.

OP here. I’m not looking to argue about the other points. I just wanted to share the info I got from watching the super long storytelling streams that she had after NijiEU. She talked a lot about her friend and how she stayed at their family’s house before the Luxiem boys got to London. The friend also hung out with Nina and the guys a little bit, and they helped out whenever housing and travel plans went awry. She stayed with this friend after the guys left, as well. The story seems too elaborate to be a cover up imo, but you can form your own opinion about that.
Since a lot of people are addressing their displeasure with Nina here I guess I’ll say something. I really don’t like how she sort of excludes the viewers from the stream, like I get they usually talk in DMS or the Vc text chat, but man it feels like she’s excommunicating the audience. I feel sadge, because I used to enjoy her content I liked her power washing streams a lot, but her behavior feels so exclusive and painful to watch. Sorry if I’m rambling, I just haven’t felt satisfied with her content in a while

I completely agree with you, and it’s not just Nina, it’s been a recent pattern with NijiEN. They keep mentioning inside jokes, talking between themselves about things they don’t explain to chat, constantly playing with each other without streaming, ignoring chat during collabs, etc.
Yeah sure, it’s really nice that they are friends, but it’s not very fun for me as a viewer to feel like I’m intruding in their conversations, or to feel like a creep for wanting a little more acknowledgment.
the thing is, for some of the not-so-yabai stuff they talked about on stream, there are a few EN members who would upload context on twitter so the viewers could understand. nina is Not one of those few people who do that. as for collabs i think it’s pretty understandable to not always check chat, because if you keep talking to chat you’re ignoring collab participants and that’d invite a bigger backlash.
Now now, not addressing chat during collabs is basic courtesy with the collab members. They’re collab-ing. It’s actually rude if the collab members are talking to the livers and the livers are busy entertaining chats who would send same thing anyway (flirting and asking them to perform/say something or it’s my birthday today). They can look at the chat in between breaks but if you expect them to collab AND entertain you; you have a little bit of an issue with parasocial attachment my friend.
However I agree I can’t say the same with this off-collab. Collab while playing games is fun because they’re playing games, we get to watch the gameplays, but Just Talking collab? Awkwaaaard. It’s like you’re watching a group of friends talking to each other, just talking, and you try to fit in. There’s nothing else in there to do. What, you gonna stare at the avatar moving and just listen to them? If they just wanna talk among themselves then they should do it offstream.

I think it’s partially due to herd mentality. People just feel safer to be toxic in a larger group since they think they’d have people backing them up.
