Not actually related directly about Nina but here’s the thing about ‘leeching’ tendency from livers.
I swear before Niji EN exist, Niji’s other branch management actually is really strict when it comes to collab. The first until two months after debut they need to established their own persona, what kind of content and direction they want and gather their own fanbase by themselves, no collab with big number livers despite you’re very close with the person inside/nakahito.
You wouldn’t find other branch niji have some massive collab on their earlier debut. Thus they’ll put effort to release a cover songs periodly since it’s the way to gain traffic when you’re new and just debutting. Those assets for their covers were commisioned (art, videos, mixing etc) from their own money.
Then comes ppl comparing niji livers and holo livers growth. Ppl put the languange barrier aside in this case bc both niji (in/id/kr) and holo id speak multi language on their stream, livers from both company always got the comments that say ‘can’t speak english’ bc they tend to speak eng for international audience, so in this case they’re actually the same.
But then ppl pointing out how niji livers work so individually compared to holo livers that often got ‘promoted’ from their JP senpais. It’s all come from how their management work. Cover always manage to include holo id (and then holo en) on main project.
It can’t be denied that time that niji branch doesn’t work well (in term of numbers, for quality i will say they serve so many and vary quality contents)
Then comes the graduation of Niji IN, the debut of Niji EN, and the merging of Niji ID and KR to main Nijisanji.
Their management has change a lot especially for Nijisanji EN. They put more effort in debutting new wave with original songs (not even the main branch/JP has it previously). And they seem just let the livers to do whatever they want.
(cont) I think since the (supposedly) seventh wave of Niji ID got cancelled and the growth of Mika that surpassed her ex-ID senpais with her method, the management just enabling them to do these ‘leeching’ thing now, as long as it brings them a big number.

On a serious note I wonder what Mika brings to the table that was so different from the other IDs aside from that she’s speaking English. I honest have tried to sit down and watch, but nothing about her that feels charming, not even during her collabs. I found hard to digest her jokes and even if she’s collabing with my preferred livers. Mind you, I’m someone who understood her other language. I still can’t… find the charm.
I assume the reason for others don’t shine so well is because they speak Indo, but then there’s plenty of them who can actually speak Eng AND Japan, and they’re much more charming in terms of presentation. And they don’t exude this trying to latch and leech popularity in EN. It’s actually admirable.
I’m actually glad that relays and nowadays the rest of ID starting to collab more, or people wouldn’t find out about how talented a bunch of them in singing.

It’s all start from the clip powers. Mika has so many clips out here thus ppl got curious about her. Most clippers usually clip a tee tee moments, some sus joke, and all those social folks humor.
All of that kinda rarely found on other ex-id members bc they often have a very specific in context jokes. Even most local clippers have it quite difficult to convey the funny moment to eng speakers.
Well it’s kind of different culture thing i guess.
Funnily enough, Fulgur actually could get along well with many ex-id livers.
this is what’s been on my mind for quite some time now. he always gush about ex-id members I wonder how fulgur manage to get himself interested in the id branch because yeah not many en fans are that interested in other branch ofc and because of the language/cultural jokes that doesn’t reach en audience. my only guess is he’s just really a dedicated nijsanji fanboy and since id is the branch that speak most english out of id, kr and jp, fulgur can still connect with them

An interesting take about collabing vs leeching by Reza. I think this sums up why most ID livers, despite most of them being very talented (imo way more than the one that’s been talked about these past few days), rarely try to reach out and collab with livers outside their branch

Mika is really not the type of livers that you look up to as idols tbh (and this is coming from her fan).
I always like her zatsudan and collabs. Mika has this ability of telling anything into an exciting stories. It’s like listening to your friend gossiping about their daily lives.
She has a really good interpersonal skills to mingle with everyone and you can tell that she has a lot of friends both irl and in niji (esp EN). She has a lot of unarchived karaokes and her voice is SO GOOD.
You guys may call her a leech or whatever, but I think the fact that she knew she had to connect with livers outside of ID circles to grow and keep insistent on doing it despite the backlash she got is really admirable. Even now the rest of ID realizes the importance of this and tried to open up to Niji EN or even JP or KR.
If anything, the JP should normalize the method that Mika is doing right now if they want their talents to grow.
