2021年8月24日にはTwitchにて「Discussing Twitch vs. YouTube as a Vtuber」というタイトルで配信しておりTwitchでの配信も開始しました。
Twitchでの配信内容としては雑談が82時間、Project Zomboidが25時間、Diablo II: Resurrectedが9時間などでそこまで多くの配信はしていませんでした。
2022年5月14日には最後の配信の告知とVTuberの活動を引退することをTwitterで報告していました。

There’s some drama going on with a few loud and entitled former Magmites saying Magni isn’t being honest with his health or something and criticizing him for basically being a passionate about being a streamer. Calling out chatters by name for one comment or remembering them from superchats is just a style of streaming. It’s not weird or parasocial to do so. In fact it can add to a stream if done right.
A prime example of this is a streamer called Admiral Bulldog on twitch. He plays with his subscribers at the $25 tier that he calls “megacucks” and they basically become side characters on the stream after a few months with banter going back and forth in games with them. It adds quite a bit. Vtubers can learn a thing or two from this and lighten up on the “fear of being parasocial”.
the greater psychological conundrum is the power dynamic aspect of it. i know this is an effort to lessen the parasocial behavior, however, i wouldnt be surprised if it increased it. its because the dynamic of every one of those interactions is still of viewer and streamer. those type of interactions outlined above make that boundary more ambiguous. you are bound to get viewers/streamers who fail to distinguish this relationship from friendship.

I understand vtubers and vtuber fans are very apprehensive about this sort of thing but all it would take would be one of them to try it and show it’s ok to be slightly more vulnerable for the sake of a good time to show everyone else it’s worth it.

I gotta say, my biggest indie turn off is that the community is very dramatic over d*** shit. I think there’s a lot of younger vtubers who think twitter clout will help their channels grow, when they really just need good content. Randon did a really good job of staying above all that, mainly because he wasn’t on twitter. I admire it a lot.
I really loved his marketing strategy on reddit too, I think there’s a clip floating around on youtube of him talking about it but you can see it in action on his Randon reddit profile. Instead of using social media to chitchat with other vtubers and just post when his streams were live, he very purposefully shared clips he thought were the funniest or had the best hook from his recent streams and did this on a regular basis, and then dropped his links in the comments. It was clearly a very well thought out strategy to give people a REASON to watch out for his streams. Dude had such a good media strategy in his pl (including twitter, he just didn’t get bogged down by it) it’s pretty funny that he’s STILL talking about being completely social media illiterate. Clearly not the case, I think it’s more just that he doesn’t want to get roped into it all/have any audience expectations about his twitter activity.
