2021年10月20日に行われた配信（【POMU TAKES A SHOWER】time to be un-stinky!）ではシャワーを浴びながら配信を行いました。
2021年05月22日に行われた配信（First week as a NIJISANJI member is over!!!）では少しの間だけ日本に留学していたことを話していました。
日本に行ってもアニメの世界とは違うぞとよく言われますが、私はアニメのような経験が出来たと思っていると言っていました。
1つ目は私が下校している時に学年が上と思われる男の子が自転車に乗りながら私のことを見ていて「ん？」と思っていたらそのまま男の子が電柱に激突してしまったみたいです。
すぐに駆け寄って「大丈夫ですか？」と聞いたところアニメのお約束のような顎をぬぐうような仕草を行い「大丈夫…大丈夫だ…」と答えていたみたいです。
その状況に立ち尽くして「今、私はアニメの世界にいる」と思ったようです。留学先は都市部じゃなく田舎だったことから外国人に慣れていなかったんだろうと考えたようです。
2つ目はとある日、家に帰る最中にただの一本道なのに道に迷ったことがあり「どうしよう…帰り道にセブンイレブンがあったことは覚えているからセブンイレブンをみつけよう」とひたすら歩いていたら段々暗くなってきました。
そこで困っていたところ庭で作業している女性がいたので「すみません…セブンイレブンはどこですか？」と泣きながら聞いたみたいです。
話しかけられた女性は「ちょっと待って」と言い、車に乗せてくれてセブンイレブンまで連れて行ってくれたみたいです。
車に乗っている最中に女性に対して何度も謝り女性は「いいよ、道に迷ったんでしょ？」と言ってくれてセブンイレブンまで送ってくれました。
女性に「家まで送らなくても大丈夫？」と言われたそうですが「セブンイレブンからの道がわかっているから大丈夫」と答えたみたいです。
道順だけ教えてくれると思っていたら、近場のセブンイレブン数か所に連れて行ったもらったようで、こんなの日本だけだよねと話していました。

2011年11月にTwitterアカウントを作成し活動を開始しました。プロフィールには東方やラブプラスが好きでAKB48中毒者と英語で記載してあり相当なアイドル好きだったことが確認できます。当時からコスプレもしていたようですがほとんど残っていません。
2012年にはAKBear名義で「RMX48 – Bird」、「RMX48 – 天使のしっぽ」のカバー動画が投稿されていました。

You’re reading too deeply into the Nina thing. The NijiEN girls plug each other’s videos and channels all the time. Should be obvious they were both just playing around to create content, especially when they still act and collab like normal both before and after that stream.

And even when Vox told her to shut the f*** up she became even more loud and started fighting with him. About the 2000 animes can also depend on which country someone is. I’m in my 20’s, but the animes i watched growing up are considered old, because i could only watch them when they were dubbed here in my country and it took some time to be done, actually, i watched the same animes my older brother, who is in his 30’s watched when he was a kid, because the channels in here would rerun them years later, since it was cheaper. So, weebs in here would always be late for the animes that were trending in other countries. Of course, nowadays it is different, thanks to internet.

Wow i just realized I watched Mint’s graduation stream. I didn’t know who she was, but I saw a lot of others talking about what a great streamer she was, so it made me sad to only see her last stream. I’ve been watching Pomu since Lazulight’s debut and had no clue lol
From what I’ve seen, and being a fan myself, Pomu/Mint is a bit of a cult sort of vtuber. She doesn’t have wide appeal, but the fans she has are REALLY dedicated and love her. This applies to all vtubers to some extent, but she’s currently one of the least popular members subs wise, but looking around twitter and discord the love for her is immense. Could just be confirmation bias though as I haven’t looking into anyone else really, but the sub count, especially given the fact she’s a nijiliver, and fan passion ratio makes me think so.

What amazes me tho is her stream live viewers count, it is consistently 2-3k viewers and it fluctuates up.
I don’t really pay attention to the count, but have noticed it is rather consistent. I only watch Pomu consistently so I don’t have any idea what the viewer count is like for other vtubers. But with other livers it really fluctuates. Where as, like you said, Pomu is fairly consistent and only goes up with collabs or something that reaches a wide audience (i.e. Metal Gear).
I think the fact that pomu know so much about otaku culture and s*** is the one to make her prepare much to hide her own indentity befotr starting vtuber career lol.

I highly doubt it. The life she lived seems very “white”, and I’m saying that as a very Americanized Asian dude (yes I’ve I was born and raised in the US and so were my parents, grandparents, and great grandparents, we exist). Anyway here’s SOME of the things that make me think she’s white:
-She has mentioned dying her hair to a darker color a few times. Lighter haired Asians are a thing, but the way she described it hint at her being blonde which she has mentioned multiple times. Granted that can just be being in character.
-Maid Cafe’s recognize her. Of course Asians don’t look the same if you actually spend time around them (goes for all ethnicities), but if you’re a tourist I feel like a non-phenotypical Asian is easier to remember when you live in a homogenous Asian country who also gets East Asian tourists. In other words, if a mostly white area had an asian person (or black, latino, etc.) visit once in a while you’re more likely to remember that face.
-She said she’d get stares in Japan, which is a pretty dead give away someone is “out of the ordinary”.
-She mentioned old ladies in Japan have walked up to her and say she’s very pale and looks like a doll.
-Her grandma has worked “backstage” in Hollywood and I assume that’s in the ~1950-1970’s when race relations were pretty awful, so I doubt, her grandma at least, is Asian.
